DL Degree Programs

The following degree programs are available via Distance Learning.

Bachelor of Science Program (BS) in Nursing

The 61 credit hour Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program is an upper division, transfer program designed for registered nurses from associate degree and diploma programs of nursing. This program has a residency requirement of 30 credit hours.

Bachelor of Professional Studies (BPS) in Medical Imaging Science

This 48 credit-hour program is for individuals who are ARRT certified or certification eligible in radiography (x-ray) and will have an associates or bachelor's degree upon enrollment at Upstate.

Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

The part-time DNP program at Upstate is designed for the master's prepared Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). It is a clinical doctorate designed for those in clinical practice and in areas that support clinical practice, such as organizational management, leadership and policy.

The program is 40 semester hours and has a hybrid design.  The degree can be completed in two and a half years of part-time study with five semesters of 6-7 credits per semester and two summer semesters of 3 credits each.
